Future Planning in Hung Hom

The big news making this area a hotspot is that the Shatin-Central Link (SCL) will be completed in 2019 which connects Tai Wai in New Territories to Central in Hong Kong Island. Upon completion of the SCL, Hung Hom Station will be transformed into an important railway hub for Hong Kong as an interchange station between all parts of Hong Kong. The SCL will cut the journey to Central from Tai Wai in 17 minutes. People living in Hung Hom can travel to Hong Kong Exhibition Centre, Ocean Park and other parts of Southern District in Hong Kong Island in less than 10 minutes. Apart from this, Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link will be completed in 2018 which connects to Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
